Philosophical Views of Death, Dying, and Grieving explores questions that have been with humanity since the beginning. Different views about the nature of death will be discussed and both ancient and current philosophers will weigh in on what constitutes a good death and if a good death is achievable by all. The concept of death anxiety will be explored as well as Ernest Becker's book The Denial of Death and the concept of the social hero and Terror Management's Theory on death anxiety.
