Conversations About Death - Wilmington, NC - April

'Conversations About Death' is a unique social gathering that provides an open and supportive environment for individuals to engage in meaningful discussions about death, dying, and grieving. Each meeting will have a topic for exploration, giving everyone a great opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings, share experiences, ask questions, and learn from others.

April's topic is 'Medical Aid in Dying.'  This month, we will explore medical aid in dying, including its moral, legal, and cultural implications. We will also discuss how different cultures and religions view the practice, the potential consequences of legalizing it in terms of patient autonomy and societal values, and the practical and psychological challenges faced by healthcare providers when providing medical aid in dying.
