Michelle holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Thanatology (the study of death, dying, and bereavement). After experiencing many of the losses we will all face in life a bit earlier than most, she left a successful career as a corporate executive to become a death and grief expert. She is the founder of On Grief and Death LLC and an adjunct professor at Marian University of Fond du Lac. 

Michelle’s work as a teacher, guide, and consultant focuses on the modern experiences of death and loss (of all types), with a particular passion for the role technology plays in these experiences. Her podcast, Kindle e-book, and Substack offer insights and perspectives on death and grief under the name “Death and Other Stories.”  

As an educator, Michelle seeks to bring relatable, understandable, science-backed learning to help people better support themselves and others when these difficult aspects of life arise.
