Meghan Jacobson

Meghan is a Certified Child Life Specialist through the Association of Child Life Professionals and a Fellow in Thanatology through the Association for Death Education and Counseling. She has 8 years of experience working in pediatric hospital settings across the country, addressing the psychosocial, coping, and developmental needs of medically complex children and their families. She currently works for The HAP Foundation, where she is the Pediatric Education Coordinator as well as a Grief Navigator for the Missing Pieces program. In her role, she develops education for healthcare providers and the community on issues in pediatric hospice & palliative care and provides support to families after the death of a child. Meghan has a BA in Psychology from Georgetown University, an MS in Child Life from Bank Street College of Education, and recently graduated with an MS in Thanatology from Marian University, where her thesis focused on supporting families who receive life-limiting fetal diagnoses during pregnancy.
