Stephanie Smith

Stephanie holds a Master of Science degree in Thanatology from Marian University, a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies/Philosophy from UNCW, a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from UNCG, and a dual major BA in Philosophy and Religious Studies.

She is an AAGC-certified grief counselor as well as a certified death doula and certified end-of-life specialist from the Conscious Dying Institute. She is an instructor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and Marian University.

She also works as a volunteer at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center and NC Donate Life, and is a member of the Long Term Care Community Advisory Committee in New Hanover County, NC.

In her spare time, she enjoys ultra running, swimming, surfing, and spending time on the beach with her husband and dogs.
